삼성전자가 중고보상(트레이드인) 혜택을 스마트폰에 이어 스마트워치와 노트북 등 갤럭시 제품군 전반으로 확장한다. 추가 보상금 지급 등 혜택을 제공해 신제품 판매를 촉진하고, 자사 제품 재구매율을 높이는 '록인' 효과까지 기대했다.
해당 소비자는 “(제품을) 센터에 입고했더니 즉시 팬을 교체했고, 문의하지도 않은 배터리도 소모율이 높다며 이 역시 교체를 진행해주었다”라며, “내일쯤 수리가 완료될 거라며 택배로 수령하기로 했다.”라고 설명했다.
이와 같은 해명에도 국내 소비자들은 납득하지 못하고 있다. 수리를 거부당한 소비자 중 접수 당시 로얄클럽으로부터 정책 변경에 대한 설명을 직접 들은 바 있어 위 해명이 거짓말에 불과하다는 것이 이들의 입장이다. 중고노트북매입나아가 “앞으로 다시는 에이수스 제품을 구매하지 않겠다.”, “에이수스 제품에 미련이 있었는데, 사지 말아야 할 이유를 명확히 해줘 감사하다.” 등의 수위 높은 비판이 이어졌다.
하이네켄은 사람들이 과도한 기술과 소셜미디어, 그리고 과로로부터 벗어나 휴식을 취할 수 있도록 도와주는 맥주 브랜드로서 자리잡기 위한 브랜드 활동을 꾸준히 펼쳐오고 있다. 그 일환으로 진행된 옥외광고 '더 클로저'는 늦게까지 일하는 사람들이 있는 사무실 빌딩의 외벽을 하나의 거대한 광고판으로 탈바꿈 시켰다. 하이네켄은 "야근 중인가요? 더 클로저가 도와드리겠습니다(Working late? The Closer can help.)"라는 메시지를 띄우고, 실제 야근 중인 사람들을 함께 비춤으로써 실시간으로 살아 움직이는 옥외광고를 만드는 크리에이티비티를 선보였다. 이와 함께 하이네켄의 병을 따는 순간 연동돼 있는 컴퓨터와 노트북이 자동으로 꺼지는 디지털 병따개 '더 클로저'를 선보여 주목 받았다.
이어 “카페에서 말로만 듣던 (레노버) 서비스 품질을 몸소 체감하고, 결국 자가 수리를 위해 GPU 쿨러를 해외 판매처에서 직접 구매했다”라며, “센터 내방 후 겪은 황당한 응대로 내게 레노버 노트북은 딱 여기까지 경험하기로 했다.”라고 덧붙였다.
그러나 한 후보자 배우자 지인인 ‘기업의 법무 담당 임원’의 연결로 노트북이 기부된 의혹이 <한겨레> 보도를 통해 드러나자 해당 기사는 이날 삭제됐다. 한 후보자의 딸은 이 인터뷰에서 “우리가 하는 중요한 활동 중 하나는 고아 후원 프로그램”이라며 “후원자를 아동과 연결하는데 주로 아동이 18살 이후에 학교를 떠나야 할 때 필요한 기금을 마련한다. 자원 봉사자의 많은 부모가 기꺼이 도와주었다”고 주장하기도 했다. 이 기사는 한 후보자의 딸이 노트북 기부뿐 아니라 2018년 비영리단체를 설립했고, 무료 과외를 제공한 노력을 인정받아 인천시장‧서울시장상과 건전한 지역사회상을 수상했다고 소개하기도 했다.
반면 LG전자는 16.2%를 기록해 3위로 추락했다. 이로써 삼성전자와 LG전자의 합산 점유율은 49.7%를 달성, 지난 2020년 1분기까지만 하더라도 무려 71.4%에 달했던 기존 수치에서 큰 낙폭을 보였다. 국내 노트북 시장이 본격적으로 형성되던 2000년대 초 이후 양사 합산 점유율이 50%를 밑돈 것은 2021년 4분기(49%)가 처음이다. 이후 LG전자가 좀처럼 입지 회복의 기미를 보이지 못하며 사실상 기존의 삼성-LG 양강 체제는 더 이상 재현하기 어려운 과거가 되고 말았다.
외산 노트북 브랜드로서는 국내 시장에서 5위 점유율(7.4%)을 기록한 ‘레노버’ 역시 국내 소비자들 사이에서 서비스 품질과 관련해 악명이 높다. 특히 국내 소비자들 사이에서 각 지점 간 서비스의 차이, 소위 ‘점바점(점포 by 점포)’에 대한 심각한 문제를 안고 있다.
이렇듯 ‘내로남불’에 가까운 행태에 분노한 소비자들로 인해 관련 사안이 공론화되자, 국내 모 언론 문의에 응답한 에이수스 측은 “최근 서비스 정책과 관련해 변동된 사항은 없다”라며, “서비스를 제공하는 범위가 축소됐다거나 삭제된 적도 없고, 외관 AS 부적합 사유에 관한 당사 정책도 준수하고 있다”라고 해명했다.
완전 방전된 상태에서 기본 충전기와 케이블을 이용해 충전하면 첫 30분 동안 24%를 채운다. 10분당 약 8%씩 채워지며 완전 충전에는 약 2시간 20분이 걸린다. 퀵차지 등 고속 충전이 가능한 어댑터를 연결해도 결과는 마찬가지다.밝기를 중간으로 설정하고 자체 구성한 서버(NAS)에서 1280×720 화소 5Mbps 동영상을 연속재생하면 9시간 35분, 1920×1280 화소 30Mbps 영상은 8시간 2분간 재생한다(돌비 애트모스 유효, 내장 스피커로 소리 재생).
그러나 최근 이들이 보인 비약적 상승세에 대한 부작용도 심각한 상황이다. 판매에만 급급한 나머지 늘어나는 물량에 대비한 품질 및 서비스 정책은 소홀했기 때문이다. 외산 노트북 브랜드 대부분은 한정된 재원이나 불명확한 지점 운영 체계, 소극적인 응대 등을 이유로 AS에 취약하다는 약점을 공통점으로 갖고 있는데, 이에 대한 소비자 비판과 불만의 목소리가 나날이 높아지고 있다.
문제는 이렇게 전달된 제품의 상태 역시 그 품질을 담보할 수 없다는 점이다. 리퍼 제품에서 과도한 사용 흔적이 발견되거나, 타인이 사용하던 제품을 수리해 다시 제공하는 과정에서 수리 당시에는 존재하지 않던 다른 하자가 발생하기도 한다. 이 경우 소비자는 다시 리퍼를 신청해야 하는데, 언제든 같은 일이 반복될 수 있어 사실상 ‘복불복’에 가까운 서비스 정책을 고수하고 있다.
이번 합동 모니터링을 통해 수입이 금지된 유해성분 식·의약품, 지재권 침해물품 등 판매 게시물 12만6374건에 대해 게시물 삭제, 아이디 영구정지 등 계도 조치를 취했다.
배달료 5000원을 받는 치킨 프랜차이즈 점포가 나타날 정도로 배달료가 치솟자 여러 명이 모여 배달 음식을 주문하는 문화도 퍼지고 있다. 올해 1~6월 당근마켓 ‘동네생활탭’에 올라온 공동 구매자 모집 게시글 수는 전년 동기 대비 45% 늘었다.
당근마켓은 이런 수요를 반영해 지난달 ‘같이사요’ 서비스를 선보였다. 최진영 당근마켓 같이사요TF장은 “대량으로 물건을 구입해 소분할 사람을 찾거나, 배달비 또는 최소 주문금액이 부담돼 음식 및 택배를 같이 주문할 사람을 구하는 글이 많이 올라왔다”고 말했다.
영국의 전자제품 유통업체인 커리스는 사람들이 재밌게 리사이클링(recycling)에 참여할 수 있는 도구로 옥외광고를 활용했다. 커리스는 고객이 가져온 중고 전자 제품을 현금으로 돌려주는 '캐시 포 트래시(cash for trash)' 프로그램을 홍보하기 위해 키보드와 헤어 드라이어, 전화기 등 고장난 중고 기기로 뒤덮인 옥외광고판을 만들었다. 사람들이 이 광고판에서 중고 기기를 떼어낸 뒤 커리스 매장에 가져 가면 현금으로 교환해주는 이벤트를 펼쳐, 재밌고 효과적인 방법으로 해당 프로그램을 홍보할 수 있었다.
이에 소비자는 “외부 충격과 내부 파편, 그리고 쇼트 발생 사이에 그 어떠한 인과관계도 분명하지 않았기 때문에 이를 입증할 수 있느냐 묻자 그건 자신들이 입증할 수 없다는 답변만이 돌아왔다”라며, “결국 판단 근거는 외부 충격 하나뿐이냐는 물음에 그렇다고 답했다”고 전했다.
전문 엔지니어의 24시간 고객지원 서비스 '프리미엄 케어', 이용자 과실로 제품 파손시 이를 수리하는 'ADP'가 각 1년간 제공된다. 국내에는 와이파이 버전만 유통되며 가격은 온라인 최저가 기준 58만원 내외.내장된 디스플레이는 11.2인치, 2560×1536 화소 OLED로 두께를 줄이면서 LCD 디스플레이 대비 색 재현도를 높이는 데 도움을 준다. 노트북매입유튜브에 올라온 HDR 영상이나 넷플릭스 등 OTT 서비스, 혹은 스마트폰으로 촬영한 돌비비전 HDR 콘텐츠 재생도 지원한다.
미국 지역 언론사 <로스엔젤레스 트리뷴>은 지난해 11월 한 후보자 딸의 활동을 소개했던 인터뷰 기사를 실었다. 한 후보자 딸은 당시 인터뷰에서 기업으로부터 고액의 물품을 후원받아 복지관에 기부한 사실을 ‘보람 있는 일’로 소개했다. 그는 “(복지관에서) 가장 시급한 건 온라인 수업에 필요한 장비였다. 기업 사회공헌부서에 메일을 보내고, (우리가) 하는 일을 설명하고 후원을 요청했다”며 “답장은 적었지만, 마침내 한 기업에서 연락이 와 중고 노트북을 처분하겠다고 했다. 그 회사의 도움으로 50여대의 노트북을 복지관에 기증할 수 있었다”고 설명했다. 현재 국제학교에 다니는 한 후보자의 딸은 미국 복수 국적자로 여태껏 국외 언론 2곳과 인터뷰를 한 바 있다.
고가 전자기기를 중심으로 재고 시장도 빠르게 커지고 있다. 소비자의 단순 변심으로 반품된 리퍼 상품과 재고 상품을 판매하는 티몬 ‘알뜰쇼핑’ 카테고리의 6월 매출은 전달 대비 93% 증가했다. 노트북, 가전제품 등 전자기기 매출은 3823% 급증했다.
레노버는 대다수 외산 브랜드와 마찬가지로 국내 모 업체와 연계해 국내 서비스 시점을 구축하고 있는 것으로 알려졌다. 그중에서도 강남 레노버 서비스 센터의 경우 타 지점과는 달리 레노버 브랜드 제품만을 전문적으로 취급하는 유일한 지점이다. 이 때문에 비교적 높은 전문성을 확보하고 있으며, 고객 응대 시 친절함 역시 우수하다는 평가를 받고 있다.
인플레이션으로 인해 1만원으로 점심 한 끼 마음껏 사 먹기 어려운 시대다. 서울에선 여름철 대표 메뉴인 냉면 1인분 평균 가격이 1만269원(1일 한국소비자원 가격정보 포털 ‘참가격’ 기준)으로 전년(9500원) 대비 8.1% 올랐다. 직장인과 학생들이 즐겨 찾는 비빔밥(9538원) 칼국수(8269원) 등도 곧 1만원을 돌파할 기세다.
그러면서도 “문제가 된 사례 중 다수는 이 사유에 해당하지 않는다고 판단했기 때문에 무상 수리가 불가했던 것”이라며, “에이수스는 서비스 정책을 가장 중시하는 업체인 만큼 앞으로도 고객 불편 사항을 최소화하도록 노력할 것”이라고 덧붙였다.
이 외에도 비교적 오랜 기간 국내 시장에서 서비스망을 갖춰온 HP, 보증 기간 이내라면 안정적인 서비스를 제공해 ‘삼델엘’ 중 하나로 꼽히는 DELL 등, 비교적 만족도가 높은 외산 브랜드도 존재한다. 그러나 삼성전자, LG전자 전국적인 공급·서비스망을 확보한 토종 브랜드와의 태생적 품질 격차는 분명하다는 것이 중론이다.
이어 “앞으로도 해외직구 악용사범에 대한 상시단속체제를 구축해 소비자의 피해를 적극 예방하겠다.”면서 “국민들도 온라인 상에서 불법 식·의약품 등 해외직구 불법거래를 발견하면 관세청에 적극 신고해 줄 것”을 요청했다.
운영체제는 안드로이드12이며 무게는 480g, 두께는 6.8mm이다. 미디어텍 콤파니오 1300T 옥타(8)코어 프로세서와 8,000mAh 배터리, LPDDR4 6GB 메모리와 128GB 저장공간을 탑재했다.
소비자는 “출시된 지 3년이 조금 지난 제품인데, 무려 18년 전 모델이라고 주장하는 직원에게 불안함을 느꼈고, 우선 사용해야 하니 쿨러 재고를 본사에 확인 후 연락해달라고 요청했다”라며, “그리고 약 1시간이 지난 후 다시 전화가 와선, 재고 확인 담당자가 휴무 중이기에 확인이 어렵다는 답변을 받았다”라고 설명했다.
단 배터리 절약 기능을 켜거나 스트리밍 없이 본체에 저장된 동영상을 재생해 와이파이를 쓰지 않을 경우, 혹은 배터리 작동 시간에 가장 큰 영향을 미치는 화면 밝기 자동 조정 등을 이용하면 이 수치는 더 늘어날 수 있다.
에이전시 : 레오버넷 두바이(Leo Burnett Dubai), 스튜디오 M(Studio M)
삼성전자는 최근 갤럭시북 프로 등을 대상으로 진행하는 트레이드인 프로그램을 기존 삼성전자 제품뿐만 아니라 LG전자 그램과 레노버, 에이수스, HP, 델, 애플 등 경쟁사 전 모델을 대상으로 확대했다. 최소 5만원부터 최대 15만원까지 추가 보상단가를 책정, 갤럭시 생태계로 전환을 유도한다. 컴퓨터매입올해 신제품 출시 혹은 갤럭시 아카데미 프로모션 등에 맞춰 트레이드인 프로그램을 확대할 방침이다.
인체에 유해한 불법 다이어트 보조제(시부트라민 검출) 1만점(1억원 상당)을 국내거주 외국인 명의를 이용, 자가사용 해외직구로 가장하여 분산 반입한 후, SNS를 통해 판매하려다가도 적발됐다.
화면 크기가 13-14인치에 불과한 노트북으로 여러 창을 동시에 띄워 놓고 일하다 보면 작업 효율이 크게 떨어진다. 윈도 노트북/데스크톱에 '프리스타일' 앱을 설치하면 태블릿 화면을 보조 모니터처럼 필요해 참고 자료나 메신저 창을 띄우는 형태로 활용할 수 있다. 단 이 기능은 아직까지 윈도 운영체제만 지원한다.
국내 시장의 스마트폰 교체 주기는 약 27개월, 태블릿은 스마트폰의 2배에 가까운 약 48개월이다. 운영체제와 보안 업데이트가 지속적으로 진행되지 않는다면 오래 활용하기 그만큼 어렵다.
일본산 의약품(소화제,동전파스 등), 식품류(젤리 등) 28만점(82억원 상당)을 자가사용 해외직구로 가장하여 요건승인 및 관세·부가세 납부 없이 반입한 후, 상업적 판매가 불가능함에도 정식 수입물품인 것처럼 매장내 판매하려다 적발되기도 했다.
맥도날드는 브랜드의 상징인 골든아치(Golden Arches)로 만든 대형 그네를 두바이의 해변 네 곳에 설치했다. 골든아치 그네는 '놀이의 즐거움'을 상기시키기 위한 구조물로, 사람들이 직접 참여해 즐거움을 공유할 수 있는 크리에이티비티를 선보였다. 맥도날드 UAE의 왈리드 파키(Walid Fakih) 최고경영자(CEO)는 이 광고에 대해 "우리 모두는 맥도날드에 관한 어린시절 추억을 갖고 있다"며 "그네는 즐거웠던 어린 시절의 기억을 떠올리게 해줄뿐만 아니라, 기쁨의 순간을 지속시켜줄 수 있도록 돕는다"고 밝혔다.
맥주 브랜드 쿠어스 라이트는 미국 마이애미 주변 아파트 건물의 검은 지붕 위에 하얀 벽화를 그려 넣는 옥외광고 '칠보드(Chillboards)'를 선보였다. 언뜻 보기엔 단순한 아이디어처럼 보이지만, 이 광고는 쿠어스 라이트의 브랜드 활동을 넘어 뜨거운 여름 날 에어컨 없이도 건물의 온도를 낮추는데 큰 도움을 주며 환경 캠페인으로서의 역할도 함께 했다. 쿠어스 라이트는 마이애미 주민들에게 5000 갤런의 페인트를 기부해 건물의 온도를 낮추는데 도움을 줬다. 지난 5월 시작된 이 캠페인은 해외 광고제에서 다수의 상을 수상한 것은 물론, 세계 최고·최대 크리에이티비티 페스티벌인 칸 라이언즈(The Cannes Lions International Festival of Creativity)의 2022년 티타늄 그랑프리(Titanium Grand Prix) 최종 후보에 오르는 등 세계적으로 크리에이티비티를 인정 받았다.
■ 장기 소프트웨어 업데이트 지원...문제는 OLED 번인
국내외 유명 상표를 위조한 노트북·핸드폰 충전기, 마우스 등 전자제품 8100점(4억원 상당)을 자가사용 해외직구 물품으로 가장하여 정품인 것처럼 불법수입 후 판매하려다 적발되기도 했다.
이와 관련해 일각에선 에이수스의 행태가 자사의 AS 정책에 위배된다는 지적도 제기하고 있다. 에이수스는 자사 홈페이지를 통해 “외관상 미세한 ‘찍힘, 벗겨짐, 스크래치, 도색 불균일’ 등 생산 제조 과정 중에 발생할 수 있는 미미한 부분에 대해서는 제품 구동에 있어 영향을 주는 요인이 아니므로 제품 불량의 원인으로 규정하지 않는다”라고 공지하고 있다.아이패드매입편의점이나 커피전문점을 이용할 때는 온라인 중고 플랫폼에서 모바일 상품권을 할인가에 구매해 지출을 아끼려는 흐름도 나타났다. 중고나라 플랫폼에 등록된 모바일 상품권 규모는 4월 73억원에서 6월 98억원 수준으로 증가했다.
주요 적발유형은 (1)안전위해물품 불법수입 57개 업체, 511억원, (2)타인 개인통관고유부호 도용 24개 업체, 185억원, (3)구매대행업자가 소비자로부터 받은 관세·부가세를 착복한 행위 6개 업체, 140억원 등이다.
이에 대해 한 후보자 쪽은 ‘자녀의 신상 보호를 위한 것이다’라는 취지로 삭제 이유를 밝혔다.
이런 소비 패턴이 확산하는 것은 데이터로도 입증된다. 한솥도시락의 지난 6월 오피스 상권 점심시간 매출은 전년 동기 대비 23% 늘었다. 한솥도시락은 전체 메뉴의 70% 이상이 6000원 이하다. 위메프에서는 4~7월 도시락통, 도시락용 수저 세트 등 도시락 관련 상품 매출이 80% 이상 증가했다.
해당 소비자가 게시물에서 공개한 사진에 따르면, 에이수스 측이 문제 삼은 흠집은 디스플레이 프레임 모서리 찍힘이었다. 이를 두고 에이수스가 청구한 수리비는 무려 178만 원에 달했으며, 소비자는 납득할 수 없는 사유와 과도한 수리비에 결국 수리를 진행하지 않았다고 전했다.
글로벌 광고 전문 매체 애드에이지(Adage)가 선정한 2022년 최고의 옥외광고 5편을 소개한다.
고가의 유튜브 촬영장비 640점(4억원 상당)를 해외직구 구매대행하면서 소비자로부터 받은 관세와 부가세를 납부하지 않고 중간에서 착복한 행위도 적발됐다.
지난 3월 모 포털사이트의 레노버 노트북 사용자 카페에선 안양에 소재한 AS 센터에 방문한 소비자의 후기가 게재된 바 있다. 소비자는 “최근 워런티(서비스 보증 기간)가 남은 ‘y540 17irh blade’를 구매해 사용하던 중, GPU 쿨러에서 비정상적인 소음이 발생하는 것을 발견했다”라며, “마침 외근지와 가까운 안양 서비스 센터에 전화 후 내방했고, 그곳에서 황당한 소리를 들었다”라고 했다.
한편, 관세청은 이번 특별단속과 병행하여 14개 오픈마켓 및 중고거래플랫폼과 민·관 합동으로 11월 9일(수)부터 11월 29일(화)까지 온라인 불법거래 집중감시를 실시했다.
국내 공식 서비스센터를 단 한 곳밖에 두지 않은 MSI의 상황은 이보다 더 심각하다. 현재 MSI코리아 공식 홈페이지를 통해 확인되는 공식 서비스 센터는 서울 용산구에 소재한 1개 지점이 유일하며, 이를 제외한 타 영업점은 브랜드를 사칭한 사설 서비스 업체라는 것이 MSI코리아 측 입장이다.
손성수 조사총괄과장은 “최근 국민안전 위해물품의 반입과 해외직구를 악용한 타인 명의도용, 구매대행업체의 세금 가로채기 등 불법행위가 지속 증가하고 있는 것에 대해 관세청은 엄중히 인식하고 단속을 강화해나가고 있다.”고 밝혔다.
5. 맥도날드(McDonald's)의 '골든아치 그네(Golden Arches Swings)'
국내 노트북 시장은 전통적으로 삼성전자와 LG전자가 압도적인 강세를 나타내며 확고한 ‘양강’ 체제를 구축해왔다. 각각 갤럭시북과 LG그램 시리즈가 갖춘 제품 경쟁력과 브랜드 이미지, 국내 기업으로서 소비자들이 누릴 수 있는 높은 접근성을 이유로 선택을 받아왔던 것.
화면 밝기는 자동 설정시 최대 600니트이며 HDR 콘텐츠 재생을 위한 돌비비전, HDR10+를 지원한다. 윈도 운영체제가 설치된 PC 화면을 확장할 수 있는 '레노버 프리스타일'앱이 기본 제공되며 별도 판매되는 '프리시전 펜3'로 화면에 직접 필기가 가능하다.맥북매입삼성전자 트레이드인은 비대면으로 진행된다. 중소기업 '민팃'이 프로그램 운영을 위탁받아 택배로 중고 노트북을 반납받고 상태 검수 후 중고 매입단가와 추가 보상금액을 안내하는 구조다. 삼성전자는 스마트폰에서 효과를 본 트레이드인 프로그램을 노트북과 웨어러블 기기로 확대한다. 경쟁사 제품도 보상하면서 삼성 생태계로 이용자를 끌어들인다. 보상 판매로 제품 교체주기를 단축하면서 신제품의 판매 확대도 함께 기대한다.갤럭시워치도 최근 비대면 트레이드인 판매를 시작했다. 갤럭시워치4 구입 시 갤럭시워치와 워치 액티브, 워치 액티브2, 워치3 등 구형 모델을 반납하면 최대 10만원까지 보상해 준다. 삼성전자는 내달 공개 예정인 갤럭시S22 시리즈 출시에 맞춰 신규 트레이드인 프로그램을 준비 중이다. 업계에서는 2년 전에 출시된 노트 시리즈 마지막 모델 갤럭시노트20의 교체 주기가 도래함에 따라 역대 최대 수준의 추가 보상금을 지급할 가능성이 높은 것으로 보고 있다.
이후 한동안 AS와 관련해 어떠한 연락도 받지 못한 그는 1주일 만에 로얄클럽으로 다시 연락한 결과, 앞서 설명한 미세한 외부 흠집을 이유로 무상 수리가 불가하다는 통보를 받았다고 전했다. 당시 충격으로 인해 내부에 파편이 발생했으며, 이에 따라 쇼트가 일어났을 가능성이 있다는 것이 접수처 측 설명이었다.
주요 품목으로는 식품·의약품·화장품(415억원), 가방·신발 등 잡화류(139억원), 전기·전자제품(79억원), 운동·레저용품·완구류(47억원) 등이 적발되었다.
한동훈 법무부 장관 후보자의 딸을 인터뷰한 미국의 한 지역 언론 기사가 4일 삭제됐다. 한 후보자의 딸이 기업 임원인 어머니 지인을 통해 노트북 50대를 한 복지관에 기부했으며 이같은 사실을 외신과 인터뷰했다는 보도가 나온 직후다.
